The fact that people think it's the same is wild they kept giving Trump the chance to return them literally all he had to do is return them and not lie. That's why the issue escalated and that's what people are missing here. Trump was unwilling to cooperate and simply wanted to keep the documents. If you want to say Biden was sloppy or irresponsible fine but this isn't even close to being the same.
