and they will try to get him to turn himself in, by reaching out to his lawyers which would be the best move. If he choses not to, he doesn't have a lot of options. There is no just disappearing in South America, or whatever fantasy people have. The US will even extradite you from Venezuela. He can't disappear anywhere.

There's no running. Interpol puts a red notice on you, and you are taken into custody wherever you land. The non extradition country thing is overstated at best, and he's not going to Russia, North Korea, or Iran.
