I’m just saying we need more of what Grant and Smart brought in toughness. If you can find another player that’s more talented, but still brings a tough presence, I’m down with it. If we have NO players willing to take it there and get in somebody’s face, even if it’s his own teammates, it’s not a good look. That’s part of putting a good team together

Zero dawgs right now :francis:

The fabric of your team has changed :francis:

Good. It needed to change. Marcus was the heart and soul of a team with no heart and no soul. And because he dove on the floor every now and again, he thought he was the leader. Ultimately, he was in the way of Tatum and Brown. Those two will be forced to step up as leaders which how it should be. Your best players need to be your leaders. Not defensive guys whose defense is slipping and whose toughness and hustle is a cover for their lack of talent.

Case in point:

This was supposed to be Tatum and Brown on the cover but noooooo, Marcus is the longest tenured Celtic. He's the heart and soul. He's the leader. He has to be on the cover. He's a member of the Big 3. And it wasn't enough to just stick him on the cover. He had to be front and center, leading the charge, pointing like Uncle Sam. I want you. :dead:

Decent pick up by Dallas, and if they get Thybulle that's another great pick up.

I’m holding out hope that Sam Cassell will instill some toughness in the brehs and help Jaylen get a left hand. Can’t get a full supermax with one hand.

There you go. That toughness ignited a team that was sleepwalking and showing no fight all series. You forget about the following game? He was the only dude ready to go in.

I guess you prefer players to keep their mouth shut and head down on some beta shyt.

:manny:

Come on breh we gotta stop falling for that rah rah "toughness" stuff. That does not win games :mjlol:

The Zach Randolph/Gasol Grizzlies had "toughness", what did that bring them?

The Pat Beverly/Marcus Morris Clippers had "toughness", what did that bring them?

Grant Williams is still living off of the Bucks 2022 2nd round series, has not done anything of significance since

If Grant had more talent to defend Jimmy Butler instead of just smoking hot air in his face, Celtics would have been in the Finals facing the Nuggets
