Bleacher Report is no more/no less "reputable" than Sohh or The Coli... but some love to believe the contrary
for every "garbage" opinion or writer/poster, there's a few who have "reputable" backgrounds and opinions. Not sure why an entire site is considered garbage as a result. If that were the case, the sites we frequent should also be considered garbage
if sohh can get their servers shut down due to high traffic, how can 4 kids out of high school maintain a site with comparable traffic w/o it crashing? they MUST be doing something right. and they got PAID so let's applaud them for doing what most heads on here wished they could accomplish

Sohh doesn't profess to be writers.
You just married posters and writers together as they're one and the same.
They're NOT.
The people on that site attempt to write articles. And for the most part, many of them suck.
Your premise that the sites we frequent is on par with them is a moot point.
The idea of the site is better than what's actually in it. If you want to spend your time filtering through 40 bad articles just to find one gem, by all means, that is the site for you.

Those correspondents, for the majority, don't get jack and just use it to look good on a resume (trust me, 10k+ eyes on your articles looks hella good), that's why its so profitable. I have several colleagues who have worked on internship over there just to build up there resume, never getting paid a dime.
USA Today does a similar thing as an outlet for studying reporters: http://www.usatodayeducate.com/staging/index.php/collegiate-correspondent-program, again haven't heard from anyone who got denied.
Nobody's making a career, or even a living, as a writer for BR -- unlike SBNation, who basically let Bomani Jones become bigger than the site.
