Never cared for BB especially when all my friends wouldn't shut up about it. My dad told me just to watch the first 3 Episodes on Netlfix & if I didn't like it then whatever. So earlier this year I sat down to watch it...

My goodness this show was amazing... I get the hype... completely deserving... I was hooked... finished in about a week... #GusDaGAWD

AMC let him do whatever he wanted. Not that they had much choice, they only had Mad Men at the time. So not sure what you mean.

That's assuming what he wanted to do was outside the boundaries of basic cable. I'm telling you, it wasn't. If he wanted to put a bunch of nudity or cursing in it I could kinda understand your point. They more or less let him run wild, and language they just edited out and they even edited out the nudity in season 1. So a few extra t*ts and the word "fukk" is basically all HBO or Netflix would offer.

The Wire was just so much like real life. Even with seasons 2 and 5, not being as good as 1, 3, and 4 it's still goat to me.
