This is kinda cool. It's the first script to season 1, ep 1 of "Breaking Bad" with a lot of different stuff. Show takes place in California, not New Mexico, his boss is named Amir not Bogdan, and there is a whole sub plot/character cut out, a woman named Margaret who I assume Walt was gonna fukk, the infamous "Scarface" scene from season 5 takes place in the very first ep. Lots of little changes to, like a side mention of "Grey Matter" and Walt is 41 not 51.

Oh and Jesse's name was Marion Alan Dupree :dead:

Enjoy.

I found a few more old scripts from season 3 I'll link to in a bit.

This isn't mentioned in that script but Sony's first choice for Walter White was John Cusack or Matthew Broderick. :dead:

@Bathing Ape

The show had a lot of lucky breaks. Season 1 was going to be 13 eps and they were going to kill Jesse, Gomez, and a few other characters. They never expected a season 2 so they wanted to go all out.

The Writer's Strike of '07-'08 cut the first season down to 7 eps and made them rethink and rewrite the final eps.

Gus was never supposed to exist. Tuco was going to be the main villain for the series, through season 2-3 but Raymond Cruz got offered another job in the middle of them writing season 2. So they had to kill Tuco off ASAP and come up with a new character to replace him.

And that's how Gus was invented. Such a great character and they created him with no forethought or planning.

Also read at one point they wanted the twins to be the main villains but felt they were too demonic, that they seemed to hardcore for someone like Walt to challenge and decided to go with the character of Gus because he was able to pull off the mild manner facade.

Season 3, ep 1 "No Mas".

The introduction of "The Cousins", Jesse in rehab, Skylar realizes Walt is a drug dealer and the fall out of the airplane crash from season 2.

This one is about 95% the same as the ep. Minor stuff was cut, like a school room scene before the assembly.

This script is a lot more in-depth with everything. In addition to the dialogue Vince Gilligan makes notes on car types, what the sky should look like, the color of buildings, specific camera angles, what the actors should be thinking as they are delivering a line, etc.:

Wow. Had one element, just one element been out of place...we would have been robbed of one of the best shows on TV. It's coming together is that delicate
