:dahell: Commison knew Anderson failed the test way back, now they say it after the fight happens and Nevada gets there gate money, Dana & UFC cashes in on the buyrates? :camby: This shyt is a joke how slimy the commission and UFC is.

You can train harder & recover faster, and their other assorted benefits that can aid you depending on what you're taking. People wouldn't risk using them if they didn't help in the ring.

everybody on roids but when its time for you to "get caught" there's nothing you can do about it. Also I'm not surprised with that injury and rehabilitation plus the extensive training at his age he couldn't do it without help.

also its very shady that the fight was even allowed to continue. dana and everybody knew before the fight as someone had stated. Im sure there's plenty of instances where steroid use is totally ignored.

He's still the GOAT tho.

Anderson Silva, like so many fighters in the UFC middleweight division, has faced some big names who have, at some point, failed drug tests in their careers, men like Chael Sonnen and Vitor Belfort.

The UFC legend recently was asked about his feelings on performance enhancing drugs and he didn't hold back. Aside from repeatedly stressing that drug cheats were not only bad for him, nor were they bad for the UFC but rather they were bad for the entire sport of mixed martial arts, Silva called for the sports version of the death penalty for those who fail their tests.

Via MMA Junkie:

"When the guys test for the steroids, (they should have) no more fights," Silva said. "When you use the steroids, you use them for a long time. When you use the steroids for a long time, you have a problem. It’s a drug and it’s not good for the sport."

Silva returns to action for the first time following his horrific leg break in the rematch with Chris Weidman when he takes on Nick Diaz in a highly anticipated fight scheduled for UFC 183

failed the roid test jan 9th but let him fight. sport is an absolute fukking joke
the commission is, ever since kizer "left" there has been a lot of booky stuff and to be honest I like it. For fans to be deprived of this fight due to weed and a super dieting type of steroid would have been criminal. Quite happy with the naming and shaming now the dust has settled

he was the one i thought we could always count on for going about things the right way, all this just to put up that kind of performance against a WW? on the flipside though should we really be that surprised? to come back from that injury so soon at his age? no athlete heels that fast with father time bearing down his back. It was there we just didnt want to see it

Good thing about this is he will have to retire whether he wants to or not
People are naive to think that most elite level MMA fighters aren't taking something that's banned. Anderson just slipped up and got caught. It's sad though that this is how his legacy is going to remembered.

This has been an all around crappy day for me :mjcry:

With that said all the Anderson fanboys that have called Vitor a juicehead over the years can
