Where are the good guys with guns?

Life ain't a movie. Folks ain't john wick out here. The good guy with a gun is protecting his household. IF he happens to run into a shooter he might take the chances. That's exactly what happened at a church.

So why buy a gun in the first place? What are you doing with it?
Because it's better than not having it even if your hands are tied behind your back.. legally speaking. In some states the family of the shooter can sue the you for damages. Go broke trying to saves lives.

So can they sue you if you're defending yourself? Because that seems like it would make it not better than having. Having a gun and not using it seems pointless.

Do you think it would be better to just call the police and hope that they get to you in time?

You're the one who keeps using legal issues as an excuse to not use your gun. So which is it? You might as well wait for the police, if you have a gun you won't use.

I don't even agree with that excuse tho. :heh:

Maybe people sit in place and wait instead of actively pursuing the shooter. People with guns may be just as scared as people without them.

It’s almost like most people reason for owning guns is some hypothetical scenario that they will never be in position to act out.

It's a tool. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. I carry a multi tool, have for years. Literally the other day was the first time I ever used the can/bottle opener on it.

shyt when I solo camped for 48hrs the Monday to Wednesday of this week, I'm chillin by the lake it was 10, 11pm I'm in the middle of nowhere and all of a sudden a vehicle pulled in to the park. It's pitch black so you see the lights. I'm like well. Since I'm a quarter mile from my car, where the truck pulled in, someone could smash my windows or flatten my tires, even steal it. I just start walking over there, mind you I'm armed and my body camera is on. 2 people hop out with flashlights and start walking around. They just walked to the lake and checked some lines then went fukked around for a few minutes.

I was ready for any type of confrontation. They could've both had guns and I assume they would. Me being armed just evened the odds a little more.

Did Trump ever say anything about the last one?
Did you see the shooter? Of course he didn't say anything. Tired of all this white guilt. We need to stop making them feel bad about their behaviors. We need to make America great again.

Yeah we are so far gone and desensitized that this thread will be two pages tops.
Every time there's news of a shooting I'm just as horrified as the previous times.

Knowing there's absolutely nothing I can do to prevent future shootings and that there would be nothing I could do if I was ever caught up in an active shooter situation.

I don’t have a problem with people who own a gun. I’m just saying a lot of the reasoning outside of not lacking is problematic. But look at the bright side.. when you consider who is in the White House .. they aren’t going to pass any gun reform bill.
