Remember how when Gucci got out he was like the #1 trending topic for a week? Its gunna be like that times 10 for these 2. They were finally putting NYC hip hop back on the map after a long drought and they ate their time like men so as not to compromise the integrity of brooklyns good name, and nikkas aint gunna forget that.

Nah by the time Gucci got out he was certified legend. Bobby and rowdy went into exactly when they was career was on the sink or swim and it didn’t seem like Bobby had a 2nd hit. Fair enough, that is true about gucc. But bobbys music took on a whole nother dimension after he went down. For what he was rapping about and how sensational the case was when he went down, how he moved once the shyt hit the fan should definitely put him in the modern day legendary realm. But ya musically i guess his catalog was a little thin unlike gucc. He definitely gonna have the worlds ear tho, and gunna have all the producers sending him the best beats to cash in on his immense post prison popularity. Everyone lowkey wants to see NYC return to its rightful place as the pinnacle of hiphop (esp after 69 done tarnished its reputation) and they're the only dudes to do it IMO.
Definitely agree about rowdy, IIRC rowdy was actually the first one to start rapping, and the whole shmoney dance thing was his idea, Bobby just did it better and had a crisper sound. I listened to his album remain silent though and every single song on there went hard as fukk. More excited to see his trajectory than bobbies to be sure.

I get what you’re saying. Those are real Wins, but to go from facing 40 something years, to being able to come out next year and not be an old man is not a complete failure.

It is a complete failure because he nor his fans never believed he was go do 37 or 47 years. They never believed he was go do no time at all. Especially after he snitched. They was celebrating him snitching because in their minds they was like "Yes I'm glad he's snitching now he can get out of jail and drop a album and sell some records". Thinking that he was go get right out right then. So they or him never expected him to do no time after he snitched. So that's a L for him and his fans that believed that thought he wasn't go do no time or that he was go get out yesterday or before Christmas. How you go snitch on everybody and still have to do 2 years in prison when you didn't even really do sht? That's the L of the decade and a complete failure. If he was white he would've did no time especially after he snitched. The reason he still got sentenced with 2 years is because he's mexican. The justice system hates mexicans and looks at them as worthless second class citizens who need to learn their place and stay in their place.
