Perfect example of greed in the USA. Especially in Miami. Buying condos are expensive beachside. They build them shyts cheap though. They also don't maintain the structure whatsover but will charge you out the ass in monthly HOA fees.

Devastating. RIP to the victims who died. Hopefully they find more survivors. Nobody from the Coli was affected right? I don't know of many that live out on the beach. I think @Brooklynzson does or did but don't remember. Hopefully nobody had any loved ones in that building. Definitely not a good look for the city. Especially if the stories about them knowing about the bad infrastructure for years are true. Now with them trying to turn the city into a tech hub and crypto capital and all that, people gonna be hesitant to move out there, especially the beach, if the infrastructure is bad and a tragedy like that can happen. Hopefully it doesn't happen again and other buildings with issues get fixed asap.

Living in a high rise in Florida near the beach has to invoke the worst type of paranoia ever. This after a vacationer in Disney spotted 5-7 alligators near a vacation resort. I have no reason to go to Florida before and never will. Between the Native American and slavery revolts, riots and removals - burial grounds, there is something to the historical stories being passed down about Florida being a land of negative energy and spiritual unrest. I’m going to leave it at that, before people catch feelings. That’s for another thread and another time.

Scary imagine just watching tv, taking a shower, sleeping or whatever and your building just collapses and there is nothing you can do

At 3 in the morning most of them were probably asleep and that's gotta be the worst thing of something like this happening. Imagine being asleep, waking up in a brain fog not knowing where you are and the next thing you know a whole building is coming down on top of you. You have no idea what's hitting you, can't even think straight to know what's going on.
