You didn’t even bother reading the CMA’s report. How you can actually think that this report is anything but bad news for this deal is beyond me.

I know you live in your own reality so I’m gonnna leave you to it.
Like i said in the other thread y’all don’t even know what y’all are celebrating.

The phase 1 filing was a lot more bleak. The general idea was that they would not take any concessions or remedies.

In this report they laid out multiple paths for microsoft to make the merger work. It’s just gonna take microsoft to lay out a business plan that puts their concerns to rest.

Before today if/how the merger could be done was unknown. After today microsoft has an actionable opportunity to make it work.

If you check people actually involved or professionals in the industry. Todays report was not met with the doom and gloom you sony’s stans are running around on forums with. Activision still training their employees on how the transition will go down.

The CMA has suggested that a “partial divestiture of Activision Blizzard” would be a solution it would consider in order to approve the acquisition. So this could mean either:

Selling off the part of the business that deals with Call of Duty, Selling off the Activision segment of Activision Blizzard, Selling off both the Activision and the Blizzard segments
The CMA’s other given possible ‘solution’ would be the prohibition of the merger altogether, it said.

We all know COD is the main reason why they’re buying this Activision, even if lying Phil would like to say different shyt :mjlol:

They also said there was a possibility for microsoft to get the deal to go through with “behavioral remedies” stuff like singing to keep COD on playstation.

Not for ten years. It has to be permanent. As long as long as COD remains permanent on PlayStation, is released same date and time, same contents, same everything, even Sony will give their blessing to the deal. They don’t give a fukk who owns that game.

Microsoft won’t allow that deal because it makes it completely pointless. They want to compete with Sony not help them.

They’ve been saying the same thing since forever. The 10 years part is just an arbitrary number

Sony is trying to block the deal because they will lose their marketing deal for extra/early/exclusive content, and they would have to compete with the game being on gamepass.

I still don’t understand why y’all are so concerned about call of duty.
As much as I enjoy the game, just take 5 seconds and go to the call of duty thread right now. A LOT of people are disappointed with the game and are voicing a sharp decline in the series. I don’t agree with a lot of their criticisms but their voices are loud and seem to be the majority when you look elsewhere online.
It’s been long over due for another shooter to emerge and knock call of duty back to the drawing board. They’ve turned into the 2K series of shooters. Sony Stan’s should stop crying about this deal. It’s Sonys job to find/develop the games that keep people on their console. Xbots should relax thinking this is going to be some sort of mail in Sonys coffin. The whole issue continues to be silly as hell to me.

Nobody is saying this but Sony themselves and in turn their fans.

Another issue of Sony stan’s arguing with themselves. COD is supposedly this trash/stale franchise nobody cares about while simultaneously being most integral to Sonys ability to exist in the video games market.

No xbox fan is claiming this deal could be a “nail in sony’s coffin” we know that’s ridiculous. We just want Diablo on gamepass.

Sony and their stans are talking out both sides of their ass as usual:manny:

I think Call of Duty exclusive to Xbox in a Quantum Realm alternate reality would make Xbots giddy as hell.
Diablo on gamepass would be dope.
I need all these multiplayer games to be cross platform as a rule though.

Sure for stan reasons. But it’s clear that’s not gonna happen.

I think microsoft is being honest when they say their business isn’t reliant on blocking access to games. They will probably never sell more consoles then sony or nintendo meet customers wherever they are.
