i agree that aaliyah had her place. i never said otherwise. did you even read my post?? all i said was that she was never in the convo with them. the argument back then was always monica vs brandy.

as for the brandy "quote", aaliyah was out first for that era, so im sure all the young chicks who were working on their deals/debuts looked up to her to an extent for a hot minute.

Fam in REAL TIME they tried to pin both Brandy and Aaliyah against eachother and Aaliyah didn’t feed into it. Brandy has utmost respect for Aaliyah as she was more mature than both of them personality wise even now. If she wasn’t in no type of conversation than why would they pin them against eachother? Basically this. Brandy was far bigger than both Monica and Aaliyah. But Aaliyah for a time. Was def hot right along with them.
