She sounds better than Brandy point blank period. You can have all the technical training in the world but that won’t trump people saying the untrained person has the better sounding voice. Like save the technical conversations for other vocalists and vocal coaches, this depth of analysis on a board full of the general public is pointless.

I can see why people think Brandy is the better singer. Monica always had more soul to me tho. In the grand scheme of things nobody really cares about vocal pitch and all that other shyt. How does the music sound? Monica always had better music imo. That being said I think last night was even

it's a lot of brandy haters in here ... brandy was objectively trying to get some rapport flowing and bring the energy up, monica was sitting there uptight, closed, and standoffish all night. she didn't seem capable of even faking fun last night...foh with the brandy hate

Monica recalled how she was pregnant and recording-Brandy cut in with how she recorded an album while 8, 9 months pregnant

Monica really was ready to bounce during the So Gone intro and Brandy interjected and had to remind everyone Monica laid hands on her 20 yrs ago

The whole thing about Monica saying Hoe on record

And Brandy already has a history of being shady towards other female artist and fans....

Monica seemed reserved alil aloof at times but she was complimentary of Brandy overall and never disrespectful

Goonica really dropped the ball after the intermission. Brandy plays a single from her new album and you play an unknown song with Luda, Brandy plays another new song with Daniel Caesar and you respond with a single that no one heard from last year Woman you had at least 5 songs that you have played from The Makings of Me.

Nah I think their personalities just don't mesh well. The only things they have in common are children and the ability to sing. Monica seems more reserved while Brandy is that bubbly LA chick. I think it goes wrong because Brandy may be perceived as too nice, which can rub folks especially from the South the wrong way if they're not on that time.

cats was in here talking about brandy & her issues she went through emotionally/mentally well monica may need to seek help even more than brandy does

We all ain't so hospitable though lol. Again, Monica probably wasn't on that type of time last night. We also don't know what kind of underlying issues they have behind the scenes. I do agree that she could have sung with Brandy and at least look like she wanted to be there.
