Yeah when I read that part...I was like WTF. Jets did spilt with New England but they got swept by buffalo. The last game of the season after coming off beating New England in overtime...they came out flat, Fitz threw pics in last half, and Revis got hella burned by Watkins. They looked uninspired with playoffs on the line. And they also had an easy schedule. They barely beat my Boys with 2015 Matt Cassel getting pulled for Kellen Moore. And remember my Boys had a bad year with many injuries to key players.Marshall was also asked if he thought the Jets were better than the two teams in the Super Bowl. “Absolutely,” Marshall said. But when he tried to elaborate on his explanation, the wideout couldn’t keep a straight face, revealing that even Marshall knew he was stretching the truth.
He knew he was talking nonsense.![]()
I agree with BM...I don't think a lot of people like cam because star QBs are often thought of being above the excess celebrations...the great ones are thought of as coming off as humble. For that reason, I dont think that people particularly have a problem with him because he is black.
I don't have a problem with his celebrations myself...they don't come off as excessive to me, and he doesn't talk shyt. He seems pretty mature with the limelight and the recent success. I think what fans and league may be afraid of are people following in his footsteps. QBs were one of those potions that were uncorrupted by being over attention grabbing. He might be starting a trend for the people who come behind him...
Either way, I don't think it has anything to do with race, black Qbs are nothing new....that mold/stereotype was broken a decade or two ago. People are used to it now. Anybody over 30 will remember when a slew of em came in back between like 1999-2003 with a lot of fan support.
Dafukk are you talking about? WAKE UP!
there's still a double standard when it comes to manzielI don't think I've seen a single white person who likes Manziel (Skip Bayless doesn't count).
I'll post the article:

With regard to Newton’s famous post-touchdown dance moves, Marshall seemed conflicted. First he said, “I don’t want my quarterback dancing. I’m from the old school ... I want my quarterbacks to get back in the huddle and lead us.”
Then Marshall reversed himself and complimented Newton. “But what we have to understand is this is the new generation,” he said. “This is what they’re doing next. They’re disruptive, they’re disrespectful, they don’t give a damn about anyone, and I kind of like it. Go back to when he was a rookie and he said, ‘I want to be an icon.’ You want to be an icon, you can’t stay in the box, you have to get out of the box, you have to be disruptive.”
Since the beginning they've hated us read the story of Esau and Jacob in the bible it is preordainedCam was getting hated before his comments. At the end of the day, the idea of a "safe negro" is a fallacy. Some might get more leeway than others, but at the end of the day, racists aren't labeling us cornballs, swaggy, safe or unsafe. We're all n words to them. Why we're so quick to create division amongst our own when the ones who hate us hate us equally will never make sense to me
We all gotta look and talk the same? Was Doug Williams a cornball? Warren Moon? Racist don't like Wilson either. They say the same shyt about him that they say about Cam.
