If his sponsor decides they don't want to associate themselves with this kids antics, they're entitled to do so

Based on their statement there's no reason to assume they did this because it was "kid antics" they seemed to imply it had to do with how they've "proudly served the military community for over 60 years."

It's more likely they viewed his actions as anti-military, which is awful and just takes away from the real issue.
