Truthfully this award and the 6th man award probably need to be abolished. NBA needs to just adopt the NFL's comeback player of the year award which I guess Ingram still could have possibly won because of the bloodclots. Actually googling it apparently the MIP used to be the comeback player of the year but they removed that in favor of the MIP
Just admit than you were wrong about Kuz > BI
You must didn't watch many of their games.
I saw the ones where he was a huge liability on defense.
If I’m starting a team & want to win, I’ll take BI.
if I want to sell jerseys and tickets I’m taking Zion.
Why didn’t kuz step up like BI did last year when everything was equal...BI is a good player but I can't say that until I see Kuz with the same opportunity. At the moment it's BI>Kuz but its not definitive.

Because it's a weird award that just means a person didn't start. But so many "6th man" winners play 30+ minutes and either lead their team in minutes played or in the top 3. For example this year Dennis Schroeder will likely win it yet he's played more MPG (31) than Giannis (30.9) who is likely to win the MVP.why abolish 6th man??
Next year it’s Devonte...
....the “Congratulations, you did what you were supposed to” award???Unpopular opinion but a top 5 pick shouldn't qualify until at least their fifth season as they already have built in all-star - superstar expectations. I mean, it's not a wide leap in logic. We should expect sophomores to become better in their third season and more so in their fourth season and so on and so forth as they get more minutes and greater role on the team. So I don't think we should reward young players with the MIP award just because they made good on their initial expectations. Give them their own award.
