Black fans was waiting for that Scorpio Sky solo run and they put him back in the tag division…

I think a glaring issue is they dont really have experienced black wrestlers on the roster. Most of their black talent would be considered new or “kids” in wrestling or some cases green as grass.

Now could they still have some type of black/POC representation in the main event scene, absolutely….but who?

It's funny bc when aew firsr started several wrestlers got love from the audience. Mjf, scorpio sky, darby, etc.Like the crowd just naturally gravitated to them. And all those guys are key players now EXCEPT for scorpio sky.

Dude should be on a mid-upper tier spot right now

this is a company that planted a bald white guy in the crowd with a BLM shirt on and had him fake crying while Cody delivered a pathetic speech.
after that you wouldn't trust them do anything right with black talent without thinking it was going to be some performative bullshyt.

after the Shaq stuff they saw nobody really cared or got the increase in viewership from people of color they wanted and gave up.
thats why the only time you'd see Jade Cargill after that was when she'd go viral on twitter for her look once in a blue moon.

and the type of crowd that watch it are fed all the corny shyt they love so they aren't exactly going out of their way to clamor for more black wrestlers either.

This is all falls on the company itself, not the fans. The company at the end controls who to push 90% of the time :francis:.
When there is Black wrestlers at the top, fans always show out especially if they are good or when they are involved in great storylines and whatnot.

"Main events and holding championships" ....well neither of these happens in AEW at least to my knowledge.

WWE can claim that tho
WWE just advertised a match guaranteeing a black champion, inserted a blonde, and then had a redhead win in two moves.

:usure:

What she say?
She whined about not being welcomed by black people enough, on some "why should I support BLM? They don't accept me" shyt.

And then months ago, she was going over Jade Cargill in segments where she acted stereotypically ratchet, making a big show like she was supporting black people again I guess.

And then she goes out of her way to insult the black fans they do have. Not only is she unqualified, she is a liability.

What kind of cartoonish ass promo was that? :scust:

She did everything short of cocking her head and taking off her rings. :scust:

Breh this was the promo that turned my wife completely off from AEW:picard:. Jade had her like :lupe:and she familiar with Cawdy, but once Brandi wench ass came out of nowhere with her Blackcent, we turned it to Chopped :camby:.

yep let's be real, the AEW crowd are full of people who love the Elite's brand of "humor" and love singing Chris Jericho's shytty song live. Is it any wonder that they have no pulse on what's popular with Black fans?

they don't have a pulse on anything that isn't in their bubble.
they tried to ridicule a young icon in Bad Bunny.

a company were people as awful as the Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes, MJF, Orange Cassidy, Jericho, Darby Allen, the dinosaur guy etc are amongst the main stars isn't made for anybody with actual taste. Punk joining is the cherry on top of their Revenge of the Nerds stuff.
