My Pops Forever RIP
I dont think its hard to tell that the influences of Kanye and some of the other artists mentioned are all over mainstream hip-hop/media. What I dont understand is when a person like Lord Jamar voices his opinion against it hes immediately ridiculed and written off as a hater, homophobe, what have you. I see this same theme whenever black people speak out against negative things affecting our lives/communites like we are just supposed to accept all the bullshiit sent our way when no one has EVER accepted us as we are. Dont get me wrong im not crying over it but I think we all (black people) need to understand this and stop going with the program.

He IS a homophobe though. The whole Brand Nubian hated gay people.

Watched the first video - this guy is an idiot. Did you catch the part where he cites a report by Kissinger about population control but has to admit that it didn't have anything to do with homosexuality? And he still thinks homosexuality is a mental disorder? Scary that this guy is a nationally certified school psychologist.

Interesting that he claims 1 out of 4 black men are gay. Given the source, I don't believe it. Does anyone have a credible source for that claim?

Also - the only actual negative thing he had to say about homosexuality was that he felt it wasn't advantageous for black women for black men to be gay.

On some real shyt....wtf do you wear under a skirt and you're a man? I know women usually have some tight ass draws or a thong, so did these nikkas have a thong on...were they doing it 100?

Wearing a skirt doesn't make them gay per say, but it does mean they have no standards! Face it, in our recent cultures it has been deemed feminine to wear skirts and panties...no defending that shyt!

Some people have hit on the cause tho...nikkas still trying to appease cacs! They trying to appear as harmless as possible cos strong black men scare white folk period.

Also, why are they jumping late on a cac fashion statement? These nikkas with all the money they have are still following cacs...amazing! That rockstar shyt, cacs done and probably finished with that shyt years ago.

What is your definition of a strong black man? A Malcolm X or an Obama type that openly displays his intelligence, or the thugged out shyt that tries to scare people and makes threats to kill anyone?

Btw, Stack Bundles and Jim Jones made that rockstar shyt popular in the hood, and they were born in the 70s:mjpls:

What I don't understand is why people in their rush to defend
people they agree with do they overlook obvious shyt ?

There's no question whether or not he's homophobic.
With that said I don't see what's "Gay" about wearing a kilt.
You can meet a gay cat that sags his pants, bumps gucci daily
and couldn't give a shyt about Kanye West.
Y'all got this idea that all gay dudes are effeminate fairies dressed in skirts.

Being gay is purely about your sexual choices not the way you dress or the
fvcking music you listen to.

I think what it is, is there is a war going on when it comes to black men.
When Hip Hop was at it's most "masculine" people were still calling dudes gay
from 50 to Jay-Z to Nas etc. The scenery changed but the sentiment didn't.
I don't know how cats don't see this sh1t.

No not all gays act, dress or look the same but the things Jamar pointed out are pretty obvious in my opinon. I dont know the context in which Kanye wore the kilt for the concert. If he was trying to drive home a point about Scotland then fine carry on but I don't think we can ignore the other examples presented.

Either type can be strong, just the thugged out type is criminal in nature. Neither should be wearing skirts or trying to appease cac's.

My point was....how come nikkas starting trends for nikkas...that cac's have done and throwed away years ago?

Thugged out type is criminal in nature? That is strong, in the black male image? :dwillhuh:

Cause nikkas stop innovating in clothing styles in fear of blacklash. You know how close minded and judgmental nikkas are when someone tries to do something new. That is why Stack Bundles and Jim Jones started that Rockstar shyt to make black folk feel :blessed: and make a path that don't look like stereotypical nikkas at that time, cause they knew that nikkas are gonna stagnate and keep wearing the same styles forever. They started the path that led to Kanye wearing dresses.
