Malcolm is a bit hit in miss. It is really hard to really know how well he is doing b/c he is a nose tackle, and knowing his assignment is hard. But he is looking pretty decent I think.

D looks a lot better then expected. Even last year with Revis and Browner the D looked suspect after 4 games. Like always, Beli spends the first quarter of the season figuring out what the team is good at then adds and adjusts.
This is one of the best front 7's the Pats have had since 04.
Obviously have not faced the greatest of QB's but...
Just give the defense some time to start gelling. It's always about November and onwards with the Patriots.
Lafell will be back as well, which is just another addition to this offense. However, they need to stop giving it to Blount on short yardage situations. He's just not good in short yardage as he runs too upright and it takes him time to start getting some momentum.

Breh Revis saved our asses last season though at least 3 times. I would have loved another season where they could mesh both of them but for reasons unknown we did not keep at least Revis. Its no suprise that once we upgraded what was once the 32nd ranked pass defense with some players, we won that elusive superbowl.
