Real talk there are certain brands I 100% don’t buy on the secondary market - adidas and Nike. If I can’t hit for retail, I’m not buying it ever.

When it comes to New Balance, my suspicion drops to like 30%, especially since I’m a size 13. The chances of a bootleg NB in a 13 aren’t super high, but I do my due diligence.

Asics etc. I feel safe.

But Nike or adidas? I wouldn’t even buy an AF1 from StockX or GOAT, let alone dropping real bread on a limited shoe. I’d rather not have it than potentially pay for something fake.

I’m not even anti fake, but I’m not spending real money on a potentially fake shoe.

I really want the Mars Yard 2.0s and SB Diamond Supply dunks but I know I’ll never own em because I refuse to roll the dice.

I am very fortunate that they don't really make replicas in my size like that. I'm not naive enough to think it can't happen, but it's unlikely, as it wouldn't make sense to put energy into creating size 17 replica shoes.

traditionally with consignment sales you could still get a retail paper trail.. these new age stores that have whole size runs before release date

fukk SNKRS, but I copped my extra pair off there after taking the usual L by converting the women’s sizes to men. The women’s pairs sat for mad long. There’s no difference in the men’s and women AM1

My feet are small enough to do that though.
