These, and the bear adidas, and that Jeremy Scott run was the first time I can think of where designers were doing WILD shyt. And the Hypebeasts literally could not get enough and created a whole new breed of sneaker buyer. They brought fashionistas into shoes for better or worse.

Them astro boys are absolutely not for me but I'll be honest I'm not even hating. I respect the weirdo creativity.

One thing Adidas doesn't get credit for is how much freedom they give designers. Look at those weird ass looking shoes Mr. Bailey shoes, Ozmorphis.
In the Complex Sneaker Podcast last week, they interviewed an ex-executive board member of Adidas and he mentioned that Kanye block him and Wex from working with his entourage which included Virgil. I can only imagine what Virgil would've came up with during those early Yeezy days
