Went to a little "get together" a couple weeks ago for a quarantine-fatigue bbq here in Seattle and there were a few IT people from Amazon (two girls and a dude) there whom weren't even shoe afficionados.
They had a little convo about reselling whatever shoe was on the SNRKS app and they'll wake up just to try for whatever sizes are popular and flip it. Not that they need the money... but because it's what people are doing/trendy. And now that nike has ceased overseas purchasing and funneled domestic releases to just a few big box stores and boutiques makes shoe buying more difficult than before, that is, if you don't hit the resell/third party market (goat, suckX, fleabay, etc).
You see how people who never posted before here or don't even participate in the thread suddenly appear like a wild snorlax?
It is what it is... not complaining, just an observation.
Simply who/what we're up against.
Real shoe buffs never die.
Rest can kick asteroids with open toed birkenstocks.
