Im in a similar situation but i rotate more than that.
I personally never sell my shoes or give them away. The way i look at it, if i cant afford what i want shoe wise this year i dont need to be buying them, i should be more worried about getting my money right. Thats just my personal philosphy.
Was cleaning out my closet in anticipating of my future investments in shoes i will only wear a handful of times...
But during my consolidation/tidying process, i decided to eliminately liquidate any shoes i KNOW i wasn't going to wear.
One of the estimators at my shop/a brotha (about 29) always compliments the shoes i wear to work (even though they're beater jay's or air maxes).
Found out earlier this week he wears my size...
Yesterday I decided to give him a couple pairs of NMD's, a pair of black/columbia 12's and the suede flu games from 09... he was thrilled as hell (and any body who knows me understands how OCD i am about sneakers maintenance and preservation). They looked essentially DS.
For me... it was the act of giving and as much... seeing his response when he opened up those boxes that really gave me a tingling sensation in my charity senses.
If he wore Lebron's... he'd really be feasting.
My thing is... i know i have friends/acquaintances who can't allocate the funds to fancy tennis shoes or going through rough times.
And i don't need money so reselling isn't my thing... so if i can distribute kicks from time to time to someone who can appreciate it moreso than I... why not.
Going back to the motherland next week, but i'll try to take some pix of him in them before i leave (he wore the Columbias today and i forgot document it. lol).
