true, but all that work to barely make $100? Nah.

I've sold 6 pairs of shoes the last month or so and i've profited off basically clicking my mouse really fast in the morning :manny:
if all i got was 50 bucks per shoe, thats still 300$ profit. paypal invoice and CL sales >>> feebay

Most resellers do it because they young (aka, IG braggadocio rights) and its hip to be in the game (trendy wendy ass mofos who follow the herd).

Most GR Jordans hit the market with a resale price of 230-260. If these cats knew all that work to make enough to take a guy and his girl to a movie date (and perhaps have
enough for a small popcorn - granted, they watching matinee times)... would they even waste their time?

The majority of these resellers only have a pair or two as accessibility is growing more difficult - but these dolts still insist on grabbing an extra pair to make, what is literally, chump change.

I never understood it - that's why i never did it.

The stats are just hard figures, nowhere does it state the less easily quantifiable aspects of reselling; such as time wasted, gas money to buy the shoes, drive home, then back to the post office (cuz i know you ain't going there right after the mall, that's for sure).

Craigs is another story, but i ain't gettin' murked over that (of course, it's not certain, but you're literally dealing with the craziest of the crazies with no protection but the strap on your hip).

It's truly petty money. Infant dollars.

not even worth the hassle to buy and sell shoes if you only getting 1 pair.. Don't understand these fools. The one's making a good profit are the guys that work at the stores and charging 50 - 60 to hold your pair on release day

I'm sure there is people that go out getting tickets at every mall and getting 4 to 5 each size. Some even have that "Plug" and pay the holding fee. then turn around and add 40 more to the price so they can make a profit.

:heh: you guys have the wrong idea about reselling, what is this hard work you're speaking of when coppin these shoes. aint nobody camping out 9 hours to get some shoes to make 15 dollars on :russ:

i got 3 pairs of concords on release day, sold 2 from sheikh raffles that saturday for like 280/275, and sold the last pair for around 230. retail + tax came out to 163$. do the math on a sale of 275$. even when the price dipped i made 60 bucks just for clicking "add to cart" then the 2 minutes i spent putting an ad up on craigslist :smugbiden:
if y'all consider clicking ur mouse and f5 a hassle then :manny: i've made over 300 bucks off 2-3 shoes doing just that and meeting dudes at the police station 5 min from my crib. the bay area is a gold mine to sell any shoes period, all these hypebeasts it doesn't matter if its a limited shoe or super GR, everything sells out here and theres always someone happy to give up their money :blessed:

I was just going off the chart that stacks posted, so i was only going off Ebay and the fees from them and paypal.

The craigs thing is iffy because you have to deal with more flakes than a box of kelloggs.

Of course, like any thing - there's always exceptions to the rule.

Not knocking your hustle, if you're making side money on that - more power to you. But i know not EVERY BODY who resells shoes is going to see your margins (as not every body lives in the bay, so the regional implication becomes added to the equation - the beasts won't be as prominent in say... Sasketchewan).

The avenues in Seattle are a tad more limited as we have one house of hoops/footlocker that raffles everything (they know they have a monopoly on that category so they take full advantage of it cuz they know everything sells - and raffling it makes it more of a commodity than it would have been for a FCFS type situation; and i wouldn't be surprised if they did shady shiit on that side)... hence, why winning raffles here is a crap shoot in the foot.

I'm still mad at myself that i had to pay reseller for the solar foams but that's the culture of it nowadays.

You have a fast trigger finger/quick web connection/bots/homie hookup or you're left for dead on the pavement.

Now you're being condescending.

I never personally took shots at you. If you resell, do the damn thang. As a matter of fact, Stacks sold me a pair of Concords and i'm appreciative of them to this day. So if it wasn't for him, i wouldn't have
a pair right now. But you make it seem like i'm placing all resellers under the same trendy/hypebeast category. I know everybody in this thread has let up some shoes for whatever reason; that's fine with me, i'm referencing a different pedigree of shoe sellers and my rhetoric was very specific of that.

I show everybody in here respect and try to keep the rep talk out of this thread (minus the red octobers, but that from people inquiring about it and was before the thread for reps materialized). If you want to talk about selling reps, keep it in the other thread.

You don't have to respect me or acknowledge me. But don't throw shade on me with the snide commentary.

Let's keep it peace.

Haha, my bad.

In the context of the last couple messages, i was under the impression that a fella offended you about the quarrels and paradigms of reselling.

It's all peace.

You know, to be frank, i'm as much as a sneaker guy as anyone in this thread... it took a lot pride swallowing for me to even put on the fRed Octobers. Then it got to the point that; they looked good, felt good, most people aren't shoe afficionados and thought they were real so i said, "Why the fukk not?"

Outside of the feezy's, I was on a grueling campaign to cop the Infrared 23 VI's, but i was out of the country all star weekend and the reseller prices were more than a car payment. Holy smokes.

Long story short; i try to invest in as much of the real stuff as i can. But y'all know, ain't no one getting any yeezys for less than a rack (i'd say even 2 nowadays).

I know i'm preaching to the choir... but i love y'all.

... this is the only thread where i don't fukk around. My shoes is my life, mayne.
