i'm probably at least your age or older. started with og 5s back in the day, first ones i could afford off mcd's wages with grandmoms making up the extra i didn't have.
the issue i have with retros is the market is getting even more saturated and quality is becoming more of an issue and prices keep going up. jb marketing is brilliant by strategically placing shoes with entertainers, but i just get the feeling people will eventually start backing off. probably not for a while though. and i could be completely wrong... maybe it's just wishful thinking that they would slow down with releasing the same shoes over and over. i know that's unlikely cause there's money to be made and really not a lot of competition.

the lebron x shape is too chunky for casual wear imo. i like some of the gr colorways and the options for nikeid might be the best of any shoe on nikeid period. i have a pair that i ball in and no denying they're a dope performance shoe. but the 7s and 8s were probably the pinnacle for aesthetic design / shape imo. if only they had released those camo 9 samples.
jb can't eat too much longer off retros. they're releasing the same thing over and over and they're getting more frequent. changing a backtab isn't gonna do it for me. and although some of the new colorways on the retros are ok, most of them are trash (crimsons). the signature jb shoes really don't get much love, not that they deserve it. melos and cp3s....yawn. xx8'sno one buys $250 bball shoes for performance. especially if they're ugly. those will be at the outlets.

preciate it. i talked myself into retiring a few times, but for me and sneakers...it's 'kinda like the crack did to pookie'. now i just accept it and try to keep it under control lol. it does help that i don't wear sneakers 4 days out of the week for work, but i stay up on releases and have twice as many sneakers as 'work shoes'.
