typical th8s thread gets the sticky and the NBA boycott thread already in the bushes

Yep I will redo the NBA thread but I'm going to add NCAA as well within the same thread. Going to make it all in one.

We have to give this stuff up its not ours and its run by people who hate us...

People pretending that the NBA is less racist or better off then the NFL is a fool.

I'm not boycotting the NBA.

I'm boycotting the NFL because they are publically punishing a man for something so benign. And presenting the idea that type of concern has no place in this game. Plus the lies given by anonymous sources.

Colin is a legend for this.

But, I don't get an all sports boycott. We may as well boycott America and bounce.

I think boycotting the NFL is more clear and direct and concise.

This country is racist. The NFL is a product we can move on without due to the way they present said product to black people.

Please explain the other boycotting.

Of course the ATL
Its in the OP moron. You have nothing to say but stay in the Boycott thread might as well join...

Your childish name calling deeply offends me my militant brotha :picard:

I actually have a lot to say about this boycott and how I see it as hypocritical based on the fact that the racism that plagues professional sports didn't just begin with the NFL & its treatment of Kaep post kneeling down for the anthem. I think change needs to happen with pressure from the outside and also from within for the NFL and all pro sports to truly change. Also, does this boycott end when Kaep signs with a team? What is the end goal here?

I also think that the 100 or so posters who have joined your boycott either aren't fans, aren't going to be committed or don't watch it anyway. I feel like my critiques of this "movement" are legit, yet you've been ducking and dodging me. Why is that breh?

I ask you this what exactly the NFL do? Did they kick Kaepernick out the league? No. Did they suspend Kaepernick for his protest? No. Did they even fine Kaepernick? No. Did they even amend the rules or publicly stated Kaepernick was out of line or even said he doesn't deserve to okay?? No.

So WHY we scapegoating the ENTIRE ORGANIZATION rather than the OWNERS of individual teams too scared and full of greed signing him because it affect THEIR direct revenue? And that's what it's all about. Whether you like it or not the vast majority that loves American football are white BIGOTS. These white billionaires could nor careless what these black athletes do on or off the field. The only thing they CARE about is making money out of them. But they WON'T sign anyone they fear will cause a detriment to their revenue. We don't fill up those stadiums, we aren't the business investors to those franchises or any of that. THOSE DEVIL'S ARE.

It's these INDIVIDUAL OWNERS that are thinking about risks of angering their white base that produce the most $$$$ is the problem. NFL in itself didn't do shyt and cannot force an owner to do shyt. It's not like the NBA that actually kept fining and suspending Abdul-Rauf for THE EXACT SAME THING. The NFL ALLOWED it. And not only that, Kaep would of STILL BE on a team today had he not freely opted out his contract. He knew he was taking a risk and rode with it.

So, me personally, do not see the point or see the value of boycotting the NFL. I don't buy tickets, the TV programming is already paid for so me watching isn't going to affect it no more than any league strike would of done. And it's a broader issue where you HAVE this shyt in the NCAA, in the NBA and WANNA, and every major sport. Yet we excuse that but not this when the man, Kaepernick, HIMSELF isn't bytching over it. He has bigger issues he's focusing on as we should be focusing on rather than just one dude not picked up to play.

If you value in boycotting the sport. Be my guess, but cops still going t o gun down black people with no remorse no matter what. That's the focus need to be on rather than the man you made it his own initiative to opt out to begin with. There's BIGGER ISSUES at stake than whether he'll ever play football. Even Kaep knows this and putting his focus on it. If they call they call. If not he's moving on.

my god, people who are actually serious about this have almost zero clue about business and probably get most of their education from social media nowadays.

I just saw something where Mysonne was gonna stop watching the NFL. Shaun King cried about it a while back. Nessa's sharing it now. I bet most of those people probably don't even have cable anymore and illegally stream games. Own jerseys? Nope. So does the NFL actually lose anything by not having them? Nope.

And do any of these people actually have an understanding on how the NFL actually makes money? Seriously? You're gonna stop using the products or services of all the sponsors of the NFL? Ok.... so I won't fly anymore right? Because most airlines have a deal with the NFL. Ok, I'll drive.... and then you fill up gas in a car because you have no money to pay Elon Musk and then you realize the oil companies have sponsorship deals with the NFL.... so fine, you stay home. Better not drink any beer, they're one of the NFL's biggest sponsors. Wine? Probably. Hard liquor, definitely. They have suites in stadiums you know, so the team makes money and the NFL gets a cut. And don't even step foot in a bar that has TVs. Because those bars purchased satellite TV to broadcast football games... and guess what, the NFL benefits.

So you'll just end up being a hermit who can't buy anything because it indirectly supports the NFL and you end up spending an arm and a leg trying to bank local, shop local.... and then your rent payment comes through and you're screwed. Careful buying that water bottle in the bodega, Pepsi or Coke probably owns it, they have deals with the NFL. If you gonna boycott the NFL, gotta boycott water.

So you end up sleeping on a bed or some wooden planks browsing through your iPhone (oh wait, Apple and the NFL have a deal, right) and needlessly posting the hashtag #boycottNFL on twitter.... not realizing that Twitter pays the NFL to broadcast Thursday Night football games.....

So be a hermit.... and shyt I want Kap signed somewhere too.
