I support the boycott and wish it had more impact than it will. The best way for people to speak is with their wallets and viewing habits and although I think so many people would not be participating that the small minority boycotting wouldn't be noticed, I do think it's important nonetheless. It's how things start small. Is the NFL the only corporation or league that is fukked up and racist? No. But that doesn't mean you can't go after one of those corporations that seem to show no respect to their players or fans.
I think one of the most important things as fans we can do is no longer buying the merchandise. No promoting these brands for free while paying premium dollar for it. I've always said, it'd be nice for fanbases to find some kind of solidarity and not go to only one game. Really makes these owners realize what they charge for tickets, food and parking are hurting the actual fans. If we could all not buy season tickets one year, or all choose one day a year that no fans go to the stadiums, I think that would start a shift back to the people. But we've given up that power to bicker with each other.
The only thing I would miss about football on Sundays is hanging out with the group of guys I hang with every week as we smoke, drink and eat. That is a lot of fun but I really don't enjoy the slow pace of football and how the league doesn't give a shyt about injuries and really just sees these players as cattle they can shuffle in and out. These are the small steps that I think do start to make differences and I support all the brehs in here committing to that stand
For all you talking down on people taking that pledge, youre a true piece of shyt. If it doesn't apply to you, let it fly. To try and demean people because they have more will power to stop watching something you couldn't bring yourself to do because you've attached some kind of personal gratification to your sports team is pathetic.
