I care that people will use this as some sort of moral high ground when its nothing more than attention seeking with no true substance.

I even provided an actual logical way to hurt the NFLs bottom line that was ignored because people dont care about that.

I also see people in here who are fans of college football but hate the NFL which is essentially akin to loving heroin but hating cigarettes.

I also hate that threads like this get traction but intelligent discourse regarding how to improve the plight of black people in america get no play.

Yea im mad.

I'm interested....What was it? :jbhmm:

Ok, I respect the explanation since you the first one to give me one out of everyone here being defensive. Those threads on how to hurt the bottom line of the NFL and improving black plight should get more traction I agree. And people really shouldn't use this as a moral high ground. Salute for actually giving an answer instead of just saying yall will still watch or just putting up nfl content

Cut cable, stop drinking bud light, stop taking cialis, stop using any product that endorses the NFL and stop eating papa johns pizza.

Just "streaming and going to bars" does nothing to the NFL. You dont protest the league you protest the people who pay the league. Thats the people who matter, people turning off their TVs makes no difference.

If anyone wishes to do it go ahead but dont hold it over my head like you are on a higher moral ground than me if thats all you are doing.

I support the boycott and wish it had more impact than it will. The best way for people to speak is with their wallets and viewing habits and although I think so many people would not be participating that the small minority boycotting wouldn't be noticed, I do think it's important nonetheless. It's how things start small. Is the NFL the only corporation or league that is fukked up and racist? No. But that doesn't mean you can't go after one of those corporations that seem to show no respect to their players or fans.

I think one of the most important things as fans we can do is no longer buying the merchandise. No promoting these brands for free while paying premium dollar for it. I've always said, it'd be nice for fanbases to find some kind of solidarity and not go to only one game. Really makes these owners realize what they charge for tickets, food and parking are hurting the actual fans. If we could all not buy season tickets one year, or all choose one day a year that no fans go to the stadiums, I think that would start a shift back to the people. But we've given up that power to bicker with each other.

The only thing I would miss about football on Sundays is hanging out with the group of guys I hang with every week as we smoke, drink and eat. That is a lot of fun but I really don't enjoy the slow pace of football and how the league doesn't give a shyt about injuries and really just sees these players as cattle they can shuffle in and out. These are the small steps that I think do start to make differences and I support all the brehs in here committing to that stand :salute:

For all you talking down on people taking that pledge, youre a true piece of shyt. If it doesn't apply to you, let it fly. To try and demean people because they have more will power to stop watching something you couldn't bring yourself to do because you've attached some kind of personal gratification to your sports team is pathetic.

I agree with you...No one should be considered more righteous just for doing this, it's barely much...Especially considering some of the participants don't watch Football at all....I don't think watching the NFL means you support Black genocide and White Supremacy, that's hyperbole and an inflammatory shaming tactic....Not watching does not mean you're against these aspects either....This is just bare minimum effort. And I honestly think the greatest chance of reform resides in the NFL Players themselves, not the viewers. Lots of bandwagon mentality and the corny "We just hate handegg" clique mentality mixed in with some genuine care for reformation....Props to you for being contrarian and making 100 percent perfect sense.

I'll say this, I salute the NFL fan posters who are boycotting it, y'all may have something here, even if I wanted to boycott, I probably wouldn't honor it and would end up watching. That said, I hope something does come out of this, some kind of change within the NFL and within sports in general.

Just don't shame people that do decide to watch.

What if I use free online streams so they don't get any support? :patrice:

I tried to quit my sports addiction years ago. I'm a fiend. :mjcry:
