Not surprising. Boyce is a herb that is not self-aware and it shows in how he describes his encounters and conflicts with other prominent blacks within the "conscience/pro black" community. I took notice of this in his retort to Umar as he described how they first met. On the surface he tried to sound humble but as he goes on you can really notice the insecurity when he says things like "I'm not sure if I'm cool but I hang around people that other black people think are cool so I must be cool" (I'm paraphrasing). He also said that when he asked about Umar's education that it was honest curiosity and was unaware of the controversy involving people questioning his degrees but then says directly after that "If someone asked where I went to school I wouldn't have a problem"

As for the matter at hand I mean it was just going to be a matter of time. If you are black and doing any kind of business devoid of some moral or ethics you are going to get exposed eventually. It's better this was revealed now before the white folks get a hold of him. I hope he eventually see's where he went wrong and corrects himself.

he basically admits that he's cool with what WU said and that's just how things are behind the curtain.
He didn't admit shyt. He said he polled the people actually paying real money and they overwhelmingly voted to keep him. He's unconcerned with broke nikkas on the internet that have contributed nothing but are looking to influence decisions in a private business.

It was a very refreshing video and as a fellow entrepreneur I can fully understand where he's coming from.

It's not a debate...

It's a fact. Black people do not have a financial literacy problem.

As explained here...

https://files.stlouisfed.org/files/...ancial-literacy-and-the-racial-wealth-gap.pdf

Black people suffer from systemic wealth deprivation by government policies that benefitted Whites but not descendants of slaves

Black people were slaves...and had wealth stolen from them...

White people were given wealth...

White people inherit Wealth

Black people don't...

Other groups like African immigrants, Latinos and Asians were never slaves...therefore they don't have a legacy, an entire bloodline that were slaves and prevented from building...

Black people don't have a financial problem...

We have a political and economic problem given our legacy as slaves and an underclass...

There's no amount of "financial literacy" that can change that. Wealth builds wealth. Money makes money. Capital makes capital.

You don't start at 0 and become wealthy.
You have to know how to build wealth before you can grow it genius.

Knowledge aquisition should never be frowned upon.

The only pro black YouTuber that is giving economic knowledge is Jay Morrison. He is a real estate guru and gives a lot good info. He walks the walk and talks the talk. He should be getting more exposure than Boyce Watkins.
He is not the "only" one idiot. Plus his focus is real estate, a different avenue than Boyce who is focused on stocks.

Jay Morrison is an excon btw, so just know he isn't some perfect individual before you come in here crying how he also is a scammer.

Like who?

LOL

Name an American native Black person that became wealthy from 0

That wasn't an employee of any kind...

That didn't need any connections on the inside

They had their own company and they started something by themselves...

There isn't even a native Black American on the Forbes list...

You have a Oprah benefitted from the telecom boom and a network believing in her...and she's the richest one

Berry Gordy got put on by Al Green through a family member.

Peebles got put on by Marion Berry in one of the blackest governments ever...

Nobody starts from 0 and ends up wealthy and most native Black Americans start from 0...and they don't end up wealthy...

I have asked him what he expects majority of our people to build in this country that has nothing to do with entertainment, sports etc, because it seems like being lawyers, doctors, engineers, media people etc is not enough or getting us out the hole as fast as we would like.

Wealth building isn't hard...

I wish people would stop making basic human endeavors into mystical concepts that needs a lot of deliberation...

Building wealth isn't that complicated...it's really not...
