There's a difference between killing animals for food and killing them for sport. I feel that killing animals for sport is a barbaric and should be done away with. Nothing manly or cool about killing an animal with high powered rifles and other unfair tools. If you can't kill it with your wits, bare hands or a knife well then...

In this case though, he should be penalized for harming that animal, if for no other reason, than he seemed to be doing it for an audience. Cat seemed to pose no threat to him at all. Like someone said, have him volunteer at an animal shelter or hospital for few months. No real record or anything should be established.
As others have said, I'm more disturbed by the fact that he felt the need to upload this. Don't kids think about these things at all?
Whatever the case, this isn't a race issue. Not in the slightest. Non blacks have been caught by fortune and other anonymous groups as well when it comes to targeting animals.
