You know what's weird? I was a fan of this show when it was out and I watched every single episode as soon as they came out, but I have no desire to watch it again.

I feel like the show being on Disney Channel was a big mistake. It's obvious the writers wanted to explore heavier topics, but they were restrained. It should have been on ABC or Freeform to have a shot. They also should have made the show more about Cory and Topanga, not Riley and her friends. Fuller House got it right. The kids got screen time and their own stories, but D.J., Stephanie, and Kimmy were the stars from day one.

Also, the show just wasn't that good. It was bipolar as hell. One week, they could have a decent episode. Then a great one. And then they just go on a run of :trash:episodes. I would be like :dahell: at the writing sometimes.

What a lot of people don't realize is Boy Meets World was a really funny show. Like, the comedy was way better than you would expect it to be. There were scenes that would have me :dead: because of how funny they were. It also didn't take itself seriously all the time. Girl Meets World didn't know what it wanted to be. :yeshrug:

Raven's Home sucks, but it never tries to be anything more than what it is. It just does what it does. Girl Meets World treated itself like it was this next-level show that would leave the viewer :ohhh: after every episode, waiting to see what would happen next. Instead, you got shyt like Riley and Maya crying at the bay window because they were worried that one day, things would change. The show is called Girl Meets World, how do you not expect shyt to change? :hhh:

That's another thing, the subtlety. Boy Meets World didn't have to tell you everything that it was doing and what it was trying to get across. It knew that you would be smart enough to figure it out on your own.

Like Cory standing in front of the poster. It's hilarious because the show is saying that he's just as bland as celery, but also because it's weird as hell that he would have that poster at all. This is right after Shawn says that Cory doesn't have a mediocre life. And the best part is the scene just moves on like it didn't even happen.

If Girl Meets World did that same joke, Maya would be laughing at Riley standing near the poster. Riley would realize what's going on and then say "Great. I'm average like celery." Then Cory would walk in and say he used to feel the same way. Maya would then ask where Riley even got the poster from. :scust:

Disney is too p*ssy to cover topics their older shows did. They were bringing back Lizzy McGuire but when the writers wanted to address topics like sex Disney said no. Show never happened

At some point kids shows became way too focused on "zany" antics of kids while having absent or completely stupid parents. Those older shows had adults giving guidance on life situations
