off the top of my head

MMA - Cheick Kongo vs Pat Barry...i remember I was at my boy's house chillin and we were watching this. It was go time from the start. it looked like Kongo was about to be the knocked the fukk out by Barry and then bam!!!! caught him with that one punch had Barry sprawled out on the mat out cold. shyt was incredible.

Boxing - Lamon Brewster vs Wladimir Klitschko 1.. If you would have told me that Lamon would stop Wlad in this shyt i would have given you the :dahell:. A guy that had clear losses to Clifford Etienne and Charles Shufford would win this?!!! I remember watching this fight with my father and Wlad is just whooping on him. Dropped him and had him in all sort of trouble. Then Wlad just hit the wall like I'd never seen before outside the Purrity fight. Lamon came roaring back in the 5th with 2 of the cleanest left hooks I've ever seen land. At the end of the 5th Wlad damn near collapses to the canvas and labored just to get to his feet. Ref gave him the :hhh: face and waved it off immediately.
Wlad aint shyt, the best Version of Wlad was getting beat by C Class heavies; he survived fighting in this fundamentals depleted sport, he lucky he had a big brother that ran Lewis; would of been one ass whopping Id love to see....
my pick as well
i was legit shocked
i thought he slipped at first
it happened at a weird camera angle

this was just vicious..before that i dont even remember shane struggling in a fight and forrest (RIP) made him like he didnt belong in boxing period...styles make fights i guess
He almost got sat flat on his ass by Willy Wise if I remember correctly i think it may be a blow call there:manny:

Shane never really impressed me unless he was facing trash cans early on, even vs De la Hoya he barely won; it wasnt no clean boxing and clean shots........Oscar couldve fukk him up had he not fought like a bytch:camby:

I see that Oscar fight and Oscar looked like the 147 Manny version of Oscar yet Shane couldn't put the exclamation mark on the drained fighter

I couldnt believe Roy Jones got knocked out. It was surreal. Michael Jordan was on that 1999 championship gallery show with him, Serena, Jeter, and Warren Sapp...Jordan was damn near a fanboy the whole fukking show for Roy..it was wild. Roy had the greatest winner in the world marvel at his abilities. To see him knocked out..it was a disgusting sight. Almost killed my interest in boxing.

I didn't pay attention to his age or the weight drop from the last year from the Ruiz win back then but then it made sense when you looked at it objectively.

The best Wlad is not the one from the early 00's, it's the smarter, tactical one who trained with Steward. He started out as an aggressive, swinging puncher, found out (a bit late) that his chin wasn't made for that style and then transitioned to a conservative boxer who could maximize his physical advantages in the ring. The "boring" Wlad was the best version of Wlad. From circa 2006 to 2012 was his prime. Ironically his newly adapted, successful style contributed to his downfall later. He was so conservative and gunshy against a taller, longer, outside-boxing Fury that he could just blink while his belts and everything went to Fury.

Both Lewis and Kltischko benefited greatly from that Steward stimulus package, both of them matured into better fighters and spent their prime under Steward.

Zab losing to Kosta Tszyu had me :snoop: particularly the way it happened.

I didn't see the fight live, but I remember how shocked I was when it came on the ESPN ticker that Jermain Taylor beat B. Hop the first time.

Joanna Champion/Rose Namajunas

I didn't expect a KO. Dropped her twice with hooks (no set-up)

Sidenote: I forgot all about that Kongo/Barry fight. That fight still blows my mind!
