joe still took all those fights with ali personally though one of the last things i heard joe say about ali was that he may have lost those fights with him but he won the war (speaking about all the damage he inflicted on ali) made it seem like he was proud of ali going out like that

joe would never say it but ive heard boxing people say joe still genuinely hated him all the way to his death

not true, they squashed it and have been in public places together on a few occassions before Fraizer died.

Ali even attended Joe's funeral
Right because you know Joe better than his own family and friends...

Everything I posted is common knowledge and well documented...

Ali wasn't the one with the heavy heart, he was the one seeking forgiveness and there was never any doubt he'd show up to Joe's funeral if he was still breathing...Joe never gave him that, he played along for photo ops at basketball games and shyt but never truly forgave him...The moment they'd walk away he'd go back to telling people some shyt like he did in '96 about tossing Ali into the fire...

he was cocky as fuk this is true but he was still a powerful figure in the black community......almost Malcolm X status in the 60s (obviously he wasn't as intellectual as Malc but he did drop some science and inspired people)

The last few decades humbled him also breh, the past is the past

Besides Michael Jackson, Obama, MLK and Mandela he's still the most famous black person on the planet

NO. He's the most famous person on the planet. PERIOD

Greatest Black Men of the 20th Century
1. Muhammad Ali
2. Malcolm X
3. MLK
4. Mandela
5. Michael Jackson

:to: It's time man....as sad as it is to say....it's time. To see a man that was once so strong willed like this is just sad. Nobody beats father time, and to all those people who milked him for those last few fights when he clearly wasn't himself :pacspit:

Damn RIP. "Legend" is such an over used term...but I can't think of any living people more worthy of the term than Ali. A black man who fought the racist US system, was banned from making his living, came back and conquered the sport again. He is LOVED around the entire world. He's probably one of the most recognizable people of the last 100 years, globally...

Yall just know that when he dies and Obama says some nice shyt about him, Fox News gonna be all in his ass for anti-American sentiment :skip:

I'm seriously in tears, and I don't give a damn what anybody says.

As someone born and raised in Louisville...Ali gave hope to a lot of us that we could do ANYTHING. ANYTHING. The sky was the limit.

He never was afraid to speak his mind, to stick to his beliefs...he was an inspiration to millions.

His body may pass soon, but his spirit will live on FOREVER.
