Having Multiple Governing Body's each w/ belts in division isn't a Joke?

Like.... If you have the WBC belt but not the WBO belt in your class does that make your champion status not legit? I understand that it's about money because they all charge sanctioning fees but I don't get how people respect this.

There is no controlling body or league over the sport. It's all freelance as far as the athletes are concerned, and every league has champions. The problems is the amount of leagues keeps growing. So instead of 3 major belts, there are like 8 or 9. I wish there was a way to get it straight, but there are too many boxers and the corruption runs deep, my friend.

Its almost always due to politics. Each sanctioning bodies have their own rankings. and also you have sanctioning fees. Some fighters wont pay the bodies, so they get stripped of their "title" so we often have paper champs too

Yeah, people figured out that its a joke a long time ago. I mean if you cant claim a belt at this point in boxing history you have to be a complete tomato can.

Boxing would be in a much better place if they had a real system where there was only 1 champ, and there was an outside body who set up the fights. I mean seriously, setting up your own fights. That shyt is stupid. You miss out on so many good matchups because fighters are dodging people.
