Bill Simmons for one. For two their writing is okay. Not as good as grantland. They seem like a bunch of hot take artists now rather than actual thoughtful writing for the most part. And as a writer that annoys me because it’s the cheapest tackiest writing there is. Especially in an age where consumers are easily misled and just want quick blurbs rather than thoughtful shyt. They’re not moving the culture forward as much as they’re saying “meh this is where it is and we’re cool with that” which is exactly how Bill Simmons is so it makes sense.

I mostly listen to their podcasts, but Sean Fennesy seems to know his stuff when it comes to movies. Shea Serrano is great and The Watch is one of my top podcasts.

They do have a lot of hot takes, but I find myself going to their site a lot. Especially during NBA season.

Yeah I feel that. I’m not even talking about their podcasts or their content. Both are fine. It’s their writing that just grates on me

Fennessey is a great writer.

Allison herman is a great TV writer.

Bill is a great writer the once in a blue moon her writes.

They did lose Zach Lowe, Wesley Morris and Andy Greenwald (at least writing wise) from grantland though so that hurts a bit but I still enjoy ther replacements.

Kevin o'connor and some of the other basketball writers are pretty good too.

I would have thought Christopher Robin would be 90% on RT after seeing the trailer but we'll see. Disney usually does not do long embargo, if they think something is great they want the reviews out early.
