Venom must have tapped into that golden hate watch crowd...cause the only people I know who saw it are people who knew they wouldn't like it...then went and saw it anyway...then talked about how bad it was...then told me i should probably go see it if i like comic book movies...

Even my wife was like "if wreck it ralph isn't playing i guess we can go see venom" and I was like "why the fukk would wreck it ralph NOT be playing it literally comes out tomorrow:mjlol: " She wanted to hate watch Venom so bad she was willing to trick herself into thinking that a hyped movie wouldn't be playing at the largest theater within 30 miles of our house on its worldwide release date:mjlol:

Convenient to post unadjusted.

Yes the movies made more internationally, but the first and last movies were the highest grossing of their release years. With all but one of the movies being in the top 5 of the year domestic. (2 of em #3 and the worst was Azkaban at 6)

so to say Harry potter was never big in the US is just odd

Making a good Robin Hood movie cannot be as hard as Hollywood makes out seem. They've made dozens and only like two are really worth a damn.

Them being bigger worldwide is what I meant when I said "he's not right but he's not completely wrong either". They were hits in the US but not as big as they were internationally.
You can adjust the box office all day long and that won't change.

I said as much. Most blockbusters make more intl especially these days.

Let's not forget this series started as a British book. But to act like it was not/isn't big here and won't be around the rest of our lives is just asinine
