I don't think most people who build PCs have any idea what they need for how little they'll really end up doing.

My old roommate built a RIDICULOUS 3-monitor, 16GB, crossfire/dual video card joint...spent like $2000+....and he browses the internet. :beli:

That's honestly all I'm really trying to say. People get caught up and then want to blame everyone else for spending too much money (see MMS)

I'm not tryna hate. I just didn't want anyone heading down wrong path only to regret it later. I like the suggestion for 670 but if you don't want to spend that much there are def other options. I have a 570 personally and it runs great.

yeah, a lot of people just want expensive hardware so they can show-off. I noticed in the PC Gamer thread(s). no one wants to talk about games. but if you say "nvidia>>>amd" you'll get a 10 page flame war

Dudes expecting that 16x AA heaven with all the galore with a budget video card while the consoles barely even do 2x AA @ 30 fps, all that while being 540p trash upscaled. :russ:

If you have a Micro Center nearby they are selling the AMD 7970 for $370. Def the card to get if you can splurge over the 300.

 if you spending money on a video card and its not a 670 or 680 you are losing bad

ive been using ATI the past few years(using cross fire 6870s right now as we speak) but every few years nVidia comes out with a gem that ATI just cant fukk with..

it used to be the 8800 GTX/GT/GTS (goat video card) and now its the 670/680

if you got $300 to spend on a card.. seriously.. save another $100 and get a 670, youll thank me 2 years from now..

I been thinking about selling my 2 6870s for some low budget price like $200-225 total for both of em and just buying a 670 my self..

i totally agree with the spending the extra $100 for at least a 670

i spent 180 on my new gtx570 on a great sale from tiger direct but if you gonna pay the retail 240 on it, then fukk that shyt (even though it can handle most), you would get a better return on buying a sale priced 670etc
