Boston Peeps: Tell me about the city

when I was last living there regularly there was ONE in the city by BU. The pilgrimage motherfukkers made for some Popeyes. I was sitting there like I have 2 popeyes within 2 blocks of me either direction at home and you got people traveling from Ruggles, Dorchester, Roxbury, just to get some Popeyes.

Same shyt with KFC. There's only a handful. I wanted some KFC and I misjudged how long Mass Ave is. Walked damn near the whole Mass Ave all the way out to Porter just to get some KFC on Superbowl Sunday. It wasn't even worth it to me.


Boston people LOVE them some subs. BTW, BHOP on Huntington, go there. Best pizza I had in the city.

i made it to a gas station
called a cab
went to a bus station
to get to the train
to take another train and finally make it home after 4 hrs

Mayor Marty Walsh is doing a trial run where all bars in the seaport get to stay open until 3:30 all summer, seaport is one of the nicest areas in Boston and has poppin bars check it out, public transportation will also be running till 3 during weekends this summer and fall

ton of lounges in the city,Emerald, Gem, Society, all got bad broads all the time.... Middlesex lounge in Cambridge spins hip hop some nights

South Boston isnt the southie of old, its all 20 something working professional wanting to re live their college years and is actually one of the more fun spots in the city, the crowd might be a little old for you if you are still in college

Geographically Boston isnt a huge city so you will get to do a lot of exploring, hit the North End for Pizza, if your are in college though you will probably be spending a lot of time in Brighton and Allston, these places can be cool at times but theres lots of hipsters

Yeah...it was worse everywhere this winter. I live in the midwest and cities shut down just because it was dangerously cold outside.

overall Boston is a great city. its diverse and educated and happening

-nightlife is one of the most underrated in the country....its full of young people in places that range from bars to clubs to lounges to pool halls etc.. there is always something going on
-tons of drug
-public transportation
-literally the best acts in the country from comedy to music come here and perform
-thousands of students from around the world. it isnt weird to see people of any country in the city its the norm
-food is great from haitian to asian to irish to whatever
-3 hours from NYC drive if u drive nice 45 minute plane flight
-job market is now booming from education to tech to construction etc
-it is expensive but its a world class city so thats expected
-safe city, only the drug dealers and gangsters commit crime and its in neighborhoods tourist will never go to but even then its low
-major sports which bring and excitment to the city
-near beaches and mountians theres a taste of sun and skiing
-weather is nice 3/5 out of the year....spring summer and fall cant be beat
-lax laws with weed and booze....in order to actually get arrested for anything u have to be asking for it
-best hospitals
-train to DC with stops in NYC,Philly,etc all withing half a day

it goes on

Boston is a great city. its not racist and is majority minority. you can have some serious fun here. its not ur typical spread out city its packed and happening and one of the youngest cities in the country. its easily one of the most underrated if we didnt have winters it would be the best

yes this was the worst winter i saw in my life no doubt it was so cold and snowy. i saw OP was .coming from the midwest....Boston isnt even in the top major cities for worst winters sure it does get bad but we dont average a single month under freezing...tons of cities like Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis etc are worse.....Boston literally has the same weather as NYC maybe a degree or two cooler its in the stats

My friend who just moved from my midwest city told me the exact same thing. She personally thought Boston was better weather wise and that my midwest city had far more subzero days than Boston.

• I see there are beaches all over the place, is that worth checking out?
• Should I check out Cambridge, with Harvard and MIT?
• Should I check out Downtown?
• Can I pass ok as an incognito black tourist in Roxbury and Dorchester? Or hell to the nah??
• Any black owned establishments I can recycle some black dollars into?
