Yep...I've decided to leave my car at my mom's house. I'm both sad and excited about having to rely on public transportation from now on.

Do you go to any lounges and etc or are you more of a bar guy?

lol...thanks. That truly must be a New York thing because every NY'er that I've met outside of NY spends most of their time complaining about how the current place isn't as great as NY.

In regard to the weather, I think this polar vortex that hit the midwest has somewhat prepared me. An acquaintance who moved from my current city to Boston last year actually told me that she thinks Boston's winter is better (probably because you at least still have sunshine...unlike the midwest).

Why does Boston get stereotyped as a white racist city? I don't get it.

The city is 24% Black, 17% Hispanic, 47% White, 9% Asian.

Seems like there's a healthy size of Black people up there.

Its funny that Blacks are scared to go to Boston but, Seattle is considered "diverse and liberal" when its 70% white and 8% black

It might be that because the city is so segregated (despite the diversity). Idk how true that is, but the perception is that it is very segregated.

Boston city is only 1/5 of the overall metro area. Boston metro is overwhelmingly white, to the point where ethnic politics are still prevalent
