Those were anti-personnel weapons aimed at striking fear in a vain society that enjoys a day off of marathon running while they launch drone strikes and kill civilians in their native countries. On Patriot's Day, of all days. What could be more symbolically fitting than to kill free, Christian white people on Patriot's Day?
They were aimed to maim and scare more than anything else, this was a moral attack more than anything else.
Only way to stop them is to ramp up our security measures and ensure these type of dangerous weapons aren't freely available for purchase in our society. It's much too dangerous.
