I was trying to explain this to a few people at my job this morning. It's too small scale.
If it were some terrorist cell, they'd be bragging about it by now.
Any disgrunted person can make shrapnel bombs out of glass jars and anything small and metal in numerous quantities.
It's not them. They're dikkriding fakkits that love the attention.
Basically its like Daze said- either the perp dont wanna take credit for it, or the attacks arent over yet. Makes you wonder. To be honest, I have a feeling it is the latter.
On the other hand, it might be that they already got got by homeland security before they had a chance to get on a pedestal.
of course theres always the chance it was the government :tinfoil:
I definitely think its the latter too. I also feel this wasn't the first intended attack.
The first questions that hit my mind are:
- why boston
- why a marathon
- why now
The last question sparked my interest the most. Why? Because the NYC marathon was cancelled last year due to Hurricane Sandy relief. So I immediately assume that the attacker adjusted their plans for another major city.
Secondly, doesn't anyone find it odd that both domestic terror attacks (that were successful and assuming this was an islamist extremist), were launched from Boston? On 9/11 the planes left Logan Airport. Obviously this is something the boys have to start looking into.

So now they are saying Pressure Cookers were used as the explosive devices. Filled with nails and BB-like objects. If they don't find out who did this within the week, I have a feeling they will strike again. Foreign terrorist usually like to claim their successes. So I don't think this is foreign. This is homegrown. I don't why but I keep thinking this is right wing militia terror.

Dawn was the principal who was killed protecting kids.
The old acting principal Donna came back to her old position because she felt it was her duty after the tragic events. She was at the marathon because the last mile was dedicated to Sandy Hook.
This picture is the same picture twice, one just cropped in.
They were simply showing a picture of the dead principal while they explained an old principal has come back to replace her after she died.
So yes Donna was at the Marathon, she is the new principal at Sandy Hook.
A woman named Dawn Hochsprung is the principal who died protecting the children, they are two different people.
Soon they will announce. Most people aren't going to blow sh1t up and not make it known - because they want the message to be clear.
And in I/A they always come forward - it just seems like they don't because the majority of the mortars and bombs are created and launched by farmers and other poor people - just doing it for cash or security and not for the 'cause'.
Plus, this doesn't seem like it came from a group that would even have techniques or strategies.

didn't they deny responsibility for 9/11 until 2004? i'm almost sure they didn't claim their foreign attacks in 90, 92, 96, 98, and 2000 either. i also recall seeing that video here recently of the former bin laden expert, saying their goal now is to ''nickel and dime'' the country with smaller attacks. doubt its them but thats worth considering.
