"This news is unlikely to shock you. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is coming to current-generation consoles. What may be a surprise though is that it’s not alone.
Gearbox is also updating Borderlands 2 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 bringing the pair of titles together to create The Handsome Collection. For those of you who have been playing Borderlands 2 on last-gen systems, you won’t have to leave your progress behind either.
If you’ve been playing Borderlands 2 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, or Vita, you can move your character progress and badass rank to the current-gen system in the same family. The same goes for The Pre-Sequel (though not on Vita, because it isn’t on that system).
The Handsome Collection also sports four-player split-screen for the first time. Both games will run at 1080p and up to 60 frames per second. In four-player split-screen mode, target frame rate is 30 frames per second.
Both titles come with all announced DLC. For The Pre-Sequel, this includes the remaining two pieces of the season pass that have yet to be detailed. We now know they are a campaign add-on and another character. Scroll all the way down for the full list of everything you get."

Borderlands 2 is one of those games I never got around to picking up. It kind of fell through the cracks of my already ridiculous backlog. I'm glad to see I'll be able to give it a shot on the new consoles. 4 player split screen . In my house everyone is a gamer so to them for adding some couch gameplay that's been getting stripped out of games more and more these days
Borderlands PS4 Version Has 8.31Gb Day One Patch
The PS4 version of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection is just another title you can add to the long list of games with gigantic patches.
An 8.31Gb patch is going to have to be installed on the first day you put this game in your console due to an issue that is, in our opinion, quite ridiculous. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s Claptastic Voyage was not completed in time for the release to be included on the original game disk so it’s being handed out as an additional download.
It goes without saying that this patch will be free but it’s still going to be a pain for gamers who have slightly slower internet connections. Even a fast 20mb connection is going to take a while to download this.
For those that have pre-ordered The Handsome Collection the update will automatically pre-load, silver lining and all.
We’ve mentioned our dislike for the release now, patch later culture in gaming these days but some might say that, as we’re not developers, we’re not in a position to criticise.
