I'm all for polished BL2 graphics that are native 4K and use that extra new gen power to make huge worlds that don't require any loading.
I just got the old version on sale now but I'm about to double dip for the 4k
I've never been so fed before gearbox i got bills to pay

Borderlands and Mass Effect invented all the shytty microtransactions and DLC that people complain about today lolCool trailer but its hard to not be afraid of microtransactions. Borderlands never had this issue but its 2019 and 2k games is the publisher. There is the fear that they will make drops shytty and make it grindy to support microtransactions.
Borderlands is a great co op experience, one of the last in existence thats not some weird MMO hybrid so I hope it turns out ok.

Borderlands laid the blueprint for dropping DLC packs that added a compartmentalized new area - the rate and general size of the content is what made season passes a thing. I'm pretty sure they also put in the level 50-60 jump behind DLC or paywall at the time too.I dont remember any microtransactions in borderlands 2, I can be remembering wrong. But I never needed to grind or felt underpowered nor did I feel like I had shytty weapons.
Def think there was something for keys to open chests in pre sequel. Pre sequel was kinda whatever as a game too so thats concerning.
Nah...Only thing i didn't like was no release window. Not even a simple 2019. That doesn't give me good vibes that we gonna get it this year but i'll wait til e3. If it is a 2020 release we at least still got Gears 5 this year.
Other then that

It wasn't just lootboxes. The whole model was a racket.

I never said anything about a complete experience, just compartmentalized and easily packaged additional areas that could be sold conveniently.Nah...you didnt have to touch the DLC to get a complete game experience, the main game had more than enough content. The DLC packs were just extra shyt to do after you beat the game, not something that was required to enjoy the experience.
Not talking about cut content - again, their blueprint is what made other consumers and developers think the model was palatable.Eh Im not sure I agree. The DLC was meant to be post game content. And some of my favorite stuff was the DLC. The fantasy world one in BL2 especially. By the time you beat the game you should be in the 40s, near level 50 so it makes sense. I really liked the BL2 DLCs so I cant really hate on it. Plus it def wasnt some cut content for the sake of dlc, it was created and added later and was filled with stuff to do.
Nah i think valve started dlc. It just turned to a total hoe ass sit'cha'ashon when big publishers nickled and dime us gullable consumers.Borderlands laid the blueprint for dropping DLC packs that added a compartmentalized new area - the rate and general size of the content is what made season passes a thing.
