Movie was solid, mostly mid level. A lot more scripted then the first, felt like they could’ve used the girl more because she was good and also people would be more off guard around her it is what it is tho.

still enjoyable, just nowhere near the level of the first one

This was pretty cool, nothing legendary to me. Ofcourse this is because there is only so much he still can do with the Borat character. Also I am not from the States and grown quite tired of seeing the same foolishness exposed once again, I mean I get it, but it doesn't move me because I have no stake in it.
That being said, the country song was some classic Borat (reminds me of the 'Throw the Jew Down the Well' song from the OG series), as was the whole part with the two rednecks, though that felt scripted.

Honestly this was never going to live up the OG but it still had me laughing hard at some parts. I think the biggest challenge for them was just finding people who didn't realize they were being pranked.

Another aspect is that back in 2006 exposing how fukking nuts the average American is was something new. Everyone knew they existed but it wasn't nearly as normalized as it is today. People are no longer surprised to see how racist and insane Americans are and that probably hurts the impact of the film too.

The cake lady casually writing down the anti-semetic text on the cake, the father at the ball telling Borat what he'd pay for Tutar in front of his own daughter, the MAGA folks singing along with that racist country song, the film still exposes a ton of shyt but in 2020 we have become practically used to it.

So taking all that into account I think this is the most they were ever going to get out of the film unless they completely said 'fukk a story' and just do isolated segments.

This shyt is a miss. Should’ve focused way more on extremist and republicans than it did. When you’re trolling baby sitters, the bakery lady, or the dude that works at the UPS store it comes across as bullying. I don’t even know why this movie was made. It could’ve been wayyyyyyyy better.

You sound gay as fukk :deadmanny:

how long was he living with those redneck fukkker for :russ:
Read he stayed with them for five days getting up eating breakfast. He said he wanted to point out that they were nice people that just believe the lives they are being fed.

Not everyone will find the jokes funny, of course some of these were pieced together to make it fit the story but to execute some of this stuff and to write it - it takes a fuking comedic genius to do it, Sasha Baron Cohen is talented as fuk and that girl did a really good job. I actually thought it was pretty wholesome story haha and sweet. It made the rednecks come off as nice people, just misled, I would have liked him to expose the radical left more too, to show both sides are crazy. Overall I was pretty impressed and entertained. Won't compare to first one as it was very different.

If the first was an A or so, this was a solid B+. I didn’t find it as funny as the first but I think it’s kind of tough to make a political satire mocking modern day American culture when so much of it feels like a bad satire to begin with. I think we’ve become desensitized to wild shyt to the point where it’s the new norm and thus this movie doesn’t have the same impact as it otherwise could’ve because the bar is just too high for degeneracy, unfortunately. The exposè with Giuliani at the end should make headlines, but with the way things are these days, that’ll be a blip on the radar
