Relax homie lol.

It's the animating that takes so long. You know how long it takes to make a 22 minute cartoon?

to break it down for him...

there are roughly 20-25 drawings per second... more when there's a lot of movement... each episode is 22 mintues.... and on top of that.. them korean nikkas be fukkin up, so they be having to redo certain things..

yall are funny...asking what takes so long.

you got legal, you got production to put the workers together, contracts, TV people, writing in US, animation in Asia, editing, etc.

shyt takes a while. i'm sure it'll be worth the wait.
Yall cats are just guessing. While I know that the drawing takes awhile, why can other animated shows put out seasons on a regular basis? Just because its being animated in Korea does not account for the long gap.

On another note, about this Uncle Ruck flick
To that end, we are raising funds for an R-rated theatrical comedy featuring Uncle Ruckus, to be produced this year. The movie will be written and directed by AARON MCGRUDER, and stars GARY ANTHONY WILLIAMS – who does the voice of Uncle Ruckus on the animated series. The story, which is currently being written, will not involve any of the other regular BOONDOCKS characters, but rather explore a part of the Ruckus family not seen in the show.

:childplease: i'm not guessing, i know for a fact what it takes to animate, i know someone who works on the show and other animated shows, and someone who's been on the korean side.

there are no other shows with the same level of detail that comes out regularly.

half the animated shows on cartoon network take breaks in the middle even when they got episodes in the hole.

venture bros, young justice og, etc. black dynamite had issues, with production on the korean side.... if u watch closely, there are mad still images

I really don't understand the controversy. The creator HIMSELF has stated that the reason the show takes so long to air is because of the animation and the animation studios being in Korea

Q: Describe your animation process.
A: The script is written, then designers design the characters, props and backgrounds. Board artists draw the show, and then actors record it. We put it together in an animatic, a rough, ugly version of the show made from storyboards laid out over the dialogue track. I sign off, and it's shipped overseas. It obviously takes a long, long, time, but those are the big steps. It's about a year from when the episode is written to when it will air.

Q: Is there anything about animation that you don't like doing?
A: Shipping the show so far away, because at that point you lose some control. I wish the studios animating it could have a closer relationship with us. The two Korean studios we have do a wonderful job. I just wish we could walk down the hall and work with them. In animation, there are a lot of people and long distances for one performance, and you don't know what you will get until it's almost too late to go back and change it.

Would you rather some half-assed version of the show air so we all can bytch and moan about subpar quality or would you rather let the creator....you know.....CREATE... Let this shyt end here...

And there you have it. A year, not 2, not 3. So again I say shyt shouldn't be taking so long.

So the worst, most stale, annoying, overdone character is getting a live-action movie? Miss me with that shyt. :rudy:

I'd be more hype if McGruder started the comic back up.

Get at me when they announce the 4th season (with Caesar added to the cast).

Uncle Ruckus is cool in doses... but a whole movie about him :what:

I would get disinterested whenever there was an episode based around him..

I would much rather have another season of the TV show, But I'll take what I can get...
