'Boomerang' back! Cause that's what they do(tv series)

I finally started watching this off the DVR and 
at the opening of episode 3. I feel violated!
I knew they were gonna ruin this and have all kinds of LGBT stuff rampant but man, this is terrible. The dialogue to the characters is just bad.
Lena Waithe did the same thing on The Chi forcing it into the show.
And now the counselor just said that is normal for men
.
This whole thing is trying too hard to be a Blavity Black Twitter show at the expense of one of my top 5 favorite movies.

Yeah, the season finale was last night and I don't see myself coming back for another season

Agreed with the comments about the dialogue not really being natural. Plus I felt they could have built up the Simone/Bryson relationship more if they really wanted investment in that angle. They did OD on the music. The song selection was good, but I felt they used it too much.

The tone of this show is so drastically different from the movie they should have just called it something else.
How was that movie a remake of boomerang
So we shouldn’t support a black cast, directors and writers cause the network isn’t owned by a black person?
Or was this post just for daps?

Finally caught a few episodes of this with my gf. Someone on social media said it was good. I disagree. It’s trash.
It had promise but the writing is so bad I can’t get with it. They tried to pull of some stuff similar to Atlanta and it just doesn’t work. And how old were the people writing this? They seem out of touch
