the next guy
Superstar
Choose one. Better action hero.
breh you might as well go all the way and make it a three dance and put some respek on Ethan hunt's name he has definitely put in a enough work going on three decades to be mentioned with the other two super agent's/spy's
I was thinking the same thing. Ghost Protocol and Rogue Nation are what Bond should be.
I got to see if the next Bourne redeems Jeremy Renner's version but even he is doing the international spy thing better. Daniel Craig's Bond is weak sauce they need a serious upgrade. Spectre straight up sucked.
At least it wasn't taking itself soo seriously. They starting feeling the pressure from Bourne and switched their style up. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Pierce Brosnan were charming English chaps you want to hang out with it was never that serious. Daniel Craig's Bond is a boring curmudgeon. This Daniel Craig slander on this site is still amazing to me. Like did you all like die another day and the world is not enough? Or am I the only one who remembers the invisible car, CGI Bond parasailing, and the complete and utter lack of stakes with run of the mill cartoon villainy and a superman bond?

Yeah I grew up on late Sean Connery and all of Roger Moore. I like that style better. And Craig isn't really doing the 'hollowed out emotionally' thing as well as Damon. They also switched their style up because of 9/11. Check out the backstory on Casino Royale or this bond documentary called Everything or Nothing. The world took terrorism and espionage a lot more seriously after then and Barbara Broccoli said it herself that it didn't feel right to wink at the audience when that kind of thing was going on. And they wanted to take Bond back to his roots and that's why fans of the books (myself included) say Craig is the closest to the Bond Ian Flemming created with Timothy Dalton being a close second. Connery became the "charming" guy who never took it too seriously once he got bored with the role in Goldfinger but From Russia With Love and Dr. No Connery has more in common with Craig than Moore.
Moore wanted to play it lighter because he felt like he couldn't imitate Sean and he abhors violence so he went with sophisticated comedy.
Dalton wanted to take it back to the essence, and Pierce has openly admitted he never got his hands around the role the way he wanted because he ended up being a combination of Roger and Sean and that's not what he really wanted to do. He wanted to put his own stamp on it. Craig plays him as an assassin who's been hollowed out emotionally.
jason bourne runs away from ppl for 75% of the movie, bond tells ppl his name even tho he is a spy and hunt always cheats by putting that mask on
I always wanted a stealthy approach to spy movies. Always thought splinter cell could work as a movie

Bond. Anyone who disagrees can see me with the hands
