Trae’s in good spirits, X-rays were negative, hopefully the MRI comes back negative as well

in the meantime, it’s next man up. Goodwin needs to play confidently and facilitate. Collins needs to step the fukk up if he wants a max deal. He got sonned by Randle last night, now you got Bam. Then Giannis. So we need to see him do more

Gotta see when Dunn, Snell, Cam & Hunter will be available

They've been saying dude is close to returning for the last 3 weeks now. Now would be a good as ever. lol.

Also what happened with Clint? Was it just a painful fall and he was ok? I had to turn the game off once I saw him on the ground. shyt blew my high.

Bruh I’m surprised he didn’t end the game in the locker room. He landed on Rose’s foot which caused him to fall..he landed on the bottom of his back hard as hell. Luckily he didn’t twist his ankle when he landed on D Rose.

He played. Obviously he was sore b/c he landed flush on his back but he was in there

For the record I don’t think Dunn plays this season

Wonder when John comes off minutes restriction? Hawks could have definitely used him in OT last night. No Trae, no John in that lineup definitely meant lights out for us.

Trae also was on The Jump a couple mins ago...

Said his ankle is feeling sore but a lot better than it did in the moment. Said thank God he had he ankle braces on.

sounds like we dodged something major and he may only end up missing 3-5 games instead of about 10+

All in all, if we can be somewhat healthy going into the playoffs (with the only people being out is Cam as he has that Achilles issue so the Hawks probably be super careful with him and Dunn being he hasn’t played at all this year anyway), I’m not worried about what seed we are (as long as we don’t catch a healthy BK in the first round). I feel like our squad has shown we can be a problem for anybody and that’s with us missing our best perimeter players. Let’s just focus on being healthy. I don’t think it’s out of the realm that this team can upset The Bucks or Philly if healthy.

Last thing, lol...having to rely on Big O as the back Center is worrisome from me. Teams do not respect his presence in the paint. Soon as Clint goes to the bench teams start driving the lane relentlessly.

OO gonna have to hit the weight room hard this off-season because teams do no respect his presence.

Fresh you my guy but GTFOH :mjlol:

You don’t seriously believe we beating those teams 4 times in 7 games with no home court even at full strength

I think so because if healthy we have ton of favorable matchups we can roll out and exploit. Home court really doesn't matter to me year because realistically, there probably won't be anymore than a few thousand fans max in the stands anyway.

Watching the Hawks against the Knicks last night (before Trae got hurt) gave a preview of what we will look like from an offensive perspective. They were easily cooking one of the best defensive teams in the league and Trae was masterfully controlling everything with 28 and 14 before he got hurt in the 3rd. Dude was probably on his way to his first 30-20 game. Healthy, the Hawks simply have too many options as Trae, Bogi, and Dre can all get their own offense and create easy buckets for Clint/John. Teams currently can't trap and double/triple-team Trae because Bogi has been legit as a #2 option and Kevin has been using his length to get in the lane and create his own offense. Imagine when Dre is back in the starting lineup. Then you have Gallo, Lou, Kevin, and Snell (3 point sniper that teams will have to respect) all pushing the offensive production further from the bench.

When it comes to my Bucks/Philly analysis...it's simple. Nothing has truly changed from either team this season

We've already seen peak Milwaukee and we know exactly how Giannis will be handled in the playoffs. If we play them, we are going to pack the lane and force Giannis to hit shots consistently (something he still hasn't been able to do). Rinse and repeat from the last two seasons Milwaukee has been in the playoffs. Under Nate, we play at one of the slower paces in the league (which might get slower in the playoffs) so he's not going to get these transition opportunities at the rate he sees in the regulars season which is going to be an issue. It will force somebody like Holiday to go super-saiyan in the series.

Philly, will be played damn near the exact same in the playoffs. We will go zone and force Ben Simmons to hit shots which we know he's going to struggle to do. This will either kill Embid's ability to create or force Simmons off the floor completely because once again, the pace the Hawks play at under McMillan will limit his transition opportunities.

My question would be...what has ultimately changed from either of these two teams to make you think the Hawks wouldn't be able to pull off a series against them if healthy? The biggest things concerning the Hawks for me is health and ultimately if the young boys get caught in the headlights with it being their first playoff run (which should be offset from us having quality vets that can settle things down).

As you already mentioned this is a young team with no playoff experience at key spots (Trae, Collins, Hunter if healthy, Bogi). You’re almost legit ignoring that as a contributing factor in performance in a series

This Hawks team doesn’t play a physical style of basketball. Milwaukee and Philly are both playoff tested and physical. I don’t see any matchup for Giannis and Embiid is gonna give Capella problems especially if he gets in foul trouble

In neither series would we have the best player or maybe even the 2nd best player. In a playoff series that matters

Nate has been great coaching with this team but he’s been a mediocre playoff coach. You trust him over Bud or Doc in a playoff series?

I get the excitement with the team and I’m happy with what I’ve seen this season but I’m reminded that this is a young team emerging from a rebuild. If you feel this team can beat Philly or Milwaukee in a playoff series you think this team has a chance to win the East. I think that’s way too optimistic so we’ll agree to disagree but hopefully the Hawks prove you right and prove me wrong

Lol, I didn’t say they “will”...I just think they have a legit “chance” (25-30%) if all goes right against Philly/Mil. Look at what the Heat did last year with even less talent (and experience) than the Hawks currently have (when healthy). Crazier things have happened in the NBA is all I’m saying. Also, Both Coach Bud and Doc have been suspect as hell in the playoffs too.

Against a healthy BK team...I give the Hawks an absolute 0% chance of winning that series.

Heat have a Jimmy and Bam. We don’t have that. Trae can definitely elevate his game offensively but those guys got it done b/c they are absolute monsters on D. We don’t have the ability to do that on the wings and also score as effectively

I think we would have a chance of winning 1-2 games but if either of those series went past 5 games I’d be legitimately stunned
