Yeah it is. Boldy's real good on dynamic production. I like all the sounds and added effects all over the production on this. It doesn't remind me exactly of the Manger on McNichols production, but I'm getting some of the same "feeling" in places.
it's a testament to James as an MC, right.
you'd think he's cookie cutter and basic cause of his slow drawl of a flow.
But this nikka SHINES over ANY kind of production.

He absolutely does. One of the absolute best emcees in the game right now, and one of my favorite things about 2022 has been seeing basically everyone either realize it, acknowledge it, or get put onto him for the first time. Dude doesn't even have many haters. Basically everyone admits he's a top tier rapper now. I love to see it.

Does Boldy James have any other prodjects similar to this? Specifically on the production side, sample-heavy beats.

All his stuff is pretty sample heavy. I’ve seen a lot of cats saying this new project sounds most like his 5 Alchemist produced projects. Bo Jackson and Price of Tea in China are the big ones. Super Tecmo Bo, Boldface, and My 1st Chemistry Set from 2013 are others that are great too.
Manger on McNichols is an interesting one. Most of the vocals are from the late 2000’s but the production took until 2020 to finish. Lots of live instrumentation. It’s like a darker TPAB. That’s some peoples’ favorite.
He has two collab projects with producer Real Bad Man. Killing Nothing and before that, Real Bad Boldy. Killing Nothing is better for sure.
His two projects that sound least likely this new one are the loop heavy Fair Exchange No Robbery produced by Nicholas Craven, and The Versace Tape produced by Jay Versace. His old Consignment and Trapper’s Alley mixtapes are dope.
He has more upcoming projects produced by Alchemist, V Don, Harry Fraud, and supposedly J Dilla.

Bo Jackson and Super Tecmo Bo both dropped in 2021 and are the two most recent ones. Bo Jackson is the album, and Super Tecmo Bo is sort of a mix of joints they didn't use for Bo Jackson mixed with some new shyt they recorded right after. Both are fire and I'd peep them both back to back.
Before those, you had Price of Tea in China and Boldface. Price of Tea is a full album that dropped in 2020, and Boldface was a little 5 track EP that dropped a couple months before it to hype people up.
Then way back in 2013 they did the My 1st Chemistry Set album.
They don't have any projects together between 2013 and 2019/2020, and they have another one in the chamber for this year or next year.
