to the people who love this show - did you like it 5 episodes in? b/c when it came out i gave it a shot for about 5 episodes, and there was literally not a single thing memorable. now i see people talking so highly about it, i just can't imagine how that's possible. i don't think many shows "suck" outright and i flat thought what i saw of this fukkin sucked.

The show really didn't become what it is until the 2nd season.

The first ~5 episodes or so of s1 it's easy to dismiss the show as some family guy esque animated adult show.


But truthfully the show is more drama than comedy. It can be a very depressing show to watch.

I finished both season season 3 and 4 the last couple months.


I actually think s3 is the best season of the show. I feel it found a nice balance of comedy and drama and other characters actually got some nice development.


It's funny how a cartoon with animal characters has more "human" characters than the vast majority of programs.

I really enjoyed Todd's speech to bojack. Probably the highlight of the show.



S3 was an 8.5/10 for me.



S4 was decent but a step down from s3 and had too many sub plots I just didn't give a shyt about.


The highlight was obviously the episode about his mother.

Just finished season 4, show is still great. Continues to amaze me some of the notes the show can hit and how good the voice cast is.
