- They ran out of the materials needed to produce the Metal Cards. They sent out plastic cards in the interim. The metal replacements will be sent out sometime down the line. I really want my metal replacement like yesterday, plastic cards are poverty level:scust:. We off that in 2016.

I plan to downgrade my Chase Sapphire Preferred Card in early November. Will have it converted to a Chase Freedom Unlimited card.
Why? Why not both?

And what is the sapphire reserve thing? I have the preferred card and never heard of that

The Chase Sapphire Reserve offers all the benefits that the Preferred Card does plus a lot more. And since both carry an annual fee, Preferred is $95 per year, and the Reserve is $450 ($300 is offset by the yearly Travel Credit); I see no reason to have both. I already had the regular Chase Freedom Card so now I want the Chase Freedom Unlimited Card. which gives you 1.5% cash back per dollar you spend instead of the standard 1%. What's great is that you can combine points on all 3 cards. Keeping points mainly on the Reserve is most beneficial due to the fact that your points are worth 1.5x using Chase's Travel Portal.

Funny you say that I've been using my freedom unlimited more than my sapphire lately.

The $300 offset is travel points I'm guessing?

A perk of the Chase Sapphire Reserve is that you get a credit for TSA-Precheck or Global Entry (TSA-Precheck is included). I have my Global Entry interview on Sunday.

Are you basing this on technical or fundamental analysis ?
both. gotta do some more research on the Karma before I go in. Technically the time is almost right though. I think itll go to around $18.5 / $19 and stay around there for earnings. Bad news and it will probably go back down to where it was after last earnings ($12). Thing is the Karma doesnt release until late october so mgmt will probably issue some bullshyt, optimistic guidance. It'd be a gamble for sure. Good news and the sky is the limit for the stock
